Filter media for ventilation are used to filter the air from various pollutants. Due to the efficiency of filtration, we distinguish between preliminary, fine and very fine filtration nonwovens. They differ from each other in the material used for their production. Polyester synthetic nonwovens with a diversified cross-sectional structure ensure meeting different requirements of filtration efficiency in a given group and the type of air filter in which they are used. They can also be impregnated with activated carbon to absorb odor fractions from the air. Used in general ventilation of rooms, catering facilities or varnishing, which also uses glass fibers consisting of glass fibers with a progressively increasing density. Polypropylene nonwovens consisting of several layers are used in fine filtration as the medium of pocket filters. For fine filtration, non-woven glass microfibers with a structure resembling soft paper are used. Very fine filtration uses hydrophobic glass paper with very high filtration parameters ensuring filtration to almost sterile conditions.
